The responsability of expertise

ALFA has developed itself through its experts for a long time. People who know, understand, and master their discipline are essential for ALFA to be what it is.

Experts from various subjects have emerged within its walls and not by chance. It’s ALFA’s and each of its company’s responsibility to create suitable conditions for them to exist.

It recognizes as well that expertise does not have age or gender; it doesn’t look a specific way. It’s the accumulation of experiences, study, ambition, patience and perseverance.

Something we discovered on our path to making this edition is that the solitary expert doesn’t exist: expertise is the consequence of collaboration. Each of our experts admits that the members of their teams have been vital to get them where they are.

And just as others have contributed to their greatness, their foremost responsibility is to replicate their great knowledge and ensure that it permeates in others and give access to the wisdom they have accumulated on their careers inside ALFA.

In this edition of ALFA Live Alpek’s Iván de la Peña talks about how they create the products that the future needs; Axtel’s Jesús Álvarez reminds us that not everything is technical in technology; ALFA Planetarium’s Miguel Ángel Gómez introduces us to the wonderful species in the Aviary; Sigma’s Merab Rios gives us insight into the microscopic battle waging in our bodies.

Nemak’s Fernando Sánchez tells us what attitudes we need to make successful prototypes; we discovered how the STEAM Club arrived at ALFA Foundation; you will find out about 6 bizarre professions that you can pursue and we leave you 10 book recommendations about experts and how to become an expert yourself.
